A rich, intense garlic flavor which can certainly offer that classic hot, garlic kick for folks who want to add a little WOW factor to their favorite salsas, garlic bread or soups.  Seems to store about 5-6 months on average. They're generally large bulbs with fat cloves and are often a market favorite.  The bulb wrappers are firm, tight and vivid with broad, bold purple stripes merging into areas of solid purple. Pretty stunning, really.  Like most Asiatic garlics, produces amazing wizard/turban-like scapes with giant bulbils.  When planted out, these bulbils can size up to decent sized garlic within 2 years of repeated propagation.

Typically has six to eight seed-worthy cloves per bulb in a circular configuration around a central scape, although you may find more. Use your discretion when planting. 

Quantity is by the pound
