One of our favorite softneck, Artichoke strains! Collected in Republic of Georgia by Hanelt about 1988, near the town of Tochliavri. Cloves streaked with red and pink. This is a very pretty garlic, not to mention very tasty, too!  Flavor is robust and full, praised by many and has become quite popular at our local and regional farmers' markets.  Like most artichokes, cloves are layered. Each bulb averages about 8-15 decent cloves for planting purposes, depending on your cultivation practices. 

In our humble opinion, there are about 6-12 seed-worthy cloves per bulb, although you will inevitably find more cloves than that as you prepare the bulb for planting.  Use your discretion when planting.
