We grow 2 types of softneck Silverskins, Nootka Rose and Silver White.  Both produce extremely beautiful, bright and average sized heads of garlic with lovely white skins covering a blush of red/pink cloves (especially Nootka Rose!). Both have very good long term storage abilities. We have found these varieties to be a little finicky here in the cold north, sometimes becoming stressed after a cold, hard winter and producing scapes when they shouldn't.  However, we love them and so we keep growing them each year and are always glad we did!

Both varieties average about 15 cloves per bulb for planting purposes.
